Brian Thorne graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. In earning his degree, Brian pursued a core curriculum involving thermodynamics and thermal systems, mechanical and ocean structure design, and renewable energy, among others. These areas of focus were supplemented by math, chemistry and physics.
In his free time, you could find him driving the Zamboni at the Whittemore Center, skiing Cannon Mountain, or volunteering for the Durham Conservation Commission and the Gather Portsmouth Food Pantry.
After graduating, Brian joined a leading medical device company specializing in aesthetic lasers where he served as a Design Quality Engineer. He later went on to work for a start-up marine industry company in Boston, specializing in battery powered air conditioning on sailing yachts and powerboats. While in Boston, you could find him shuttling people to sailboats in Boston Harbor as a part-time launch driver for the Boston Sailing Center. Brian has since transitioned into the finance industry, where he has a passion for helping people pursue financial confidence.
Brian’s passions include fishing with family and friends, water skiing, running, and working on his project boat.
