Robert “Rob” Thorne is recognized as a well-regarded financial coach and educator in the Eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod Area. Rob was raised by a strong-willed mother that always wanted to be financially independent and secure. He admired her goals and it inspired him to pursue his financial career to connect with women and help people manage their financial dreams. In addition to his 25+ years experience in the financial services industry, he is a founder of Thorne Financial Partners on Cape Cod with a second office in Boston.

Mr. Thorne is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He also holds the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). He works actively in conjunction with other professionals to develop cohesive strategies by discussing the costs/benefits of pursuing financial goals and how their decisions will impact the long-term. Rob has helped hundreds of clients manage their retirement vision, protect and manage their assets, saving on taxes and provide for a smooth and easy estate transfer.

Rob has served on the Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Chapter of the American Cancer Society, The Cape Cod Media Center, and the Barnstable Youth Hockey Association. He is a current member of the International Association of Financial Advisors and Business Networking International. Rob has been actively involved in the Barnstable Youth Hockey Association since 2003 as a coach to boys and girls from age 5 to 18. One of his deepest passions is working with young people to help them deal with the challenges of growing up and realize their greatest potential in life. Rob is a proud father of two boys, ages 21 & 18, and together they share a wide variety of hobbies: Boating, fishing, water sports, and hockey. In his “quiet” time you might find Rob playing the drums, motorcycling or acting in a summer theater comedy.
